Two days ago I left beautiful Boston to come to Lyon on a Northeastern Dialogue of Civilizations. This is my first time in France and I am over the moon at how gorgeous and classy it is. Both the airport of Paris, Charles de Gaulle, and the airport of Lyon, are so beautiful in their architecture; along with all the buildings that line the streets of Lyon. I am continually amazed at these european buildings.
It was a long trip from Boston to our stay at Lyon. We flew to Paris, and connected to Lyon, but due to delayed flights and the large number of students, everything seemed to take a long time to complete. When we arrived at the airport of Lyon, our bus driver thought it would be a great idea to park over a mile away from our gate of exit, making us walk around the airport and outdoors with all of our suite cases, only to then drop us off a 20-minute walk away from our dorm. Eventually we made it to our rooms though, which definitely aren't a disappointment!
This morning I decided to go on a walk around the main streets of Lyon with some of the other students and we bought some coffee and pastries for breakfast. I bought the pastry with the most amount of chocolate, which was the viennoise de chocolat, and I don't regret it one bit. Lyon is such a cute little city. I cannot wait to go and explore it some more this afternoon on an official tour.
Also, please try to remember this is my first blog. Forgive me for spelling errors or inconsistencies in my posts! Thank you for taking the time to read it, please leave some comments, and I hope you enjoyed it :).
